S.T.A.R.R.S

Students That Are Respectful, Responsible, & Safe (S.T.A.R.R.S.) is the goal of a process adopted at Union Star to develop the best possible learning environment for our students.

The process focuses on improving our school’s ability to teach and support positive behavior for all students – particularly regarding being respectful, responsible, and safe. The process is commonly called Positive Behavior Interventions and Support (PBIS).

Part of that process is the identification of important, basic positive behaviors that are expected at all times, in all places. This is accompanied by identifying similar positive behaviors that are expected at various places or activities, such as the classroom, hallway, restroom, cafeteria, school events, recreation areas, and on the bus.
